Bing Xin was a distinctive female writer of the Republican period. Meanwhile, she was also a poet, translator, children’s literature writer and a social activist. Her novels are critical of social ills while essays feature great fluency. Her poetry are brisk and gentle while works for children are vivacious and elegent. With the passage of time, all her works have become more attractive, which make her the Grandmother of the literary circles.Bing Xin devoted her whole life to writing and made great contribution to China’s education course as a teacher. Being influenced by special environment and ideological thoughts, Bing Xin formed the unique views on children, which centers on philosophy of love and highlights the idea of being benevolent and caring in a natural manner.Her views on children were reflected in the education practice while she was in Yanching University,as well as in her excellent works of children’s literature. Nowadays, most teachers don’t have scientific views on children as their guides and courses for them to form scientific outlook on children are greatly lacked. Under such condition, Bing Xin’s study on children shows unprecedented value.This paper was developed in steps mentioned below. First, make a presentation about reasons and significance of this study and simply summarize Bing Xin’s former research. Second, systemize the formation process of Bing Xin’s views on children in chronological order and deeply interpret the factors that influenced the formation,such as family environment, historical background, religion and so on. Third, summarize the contents of Bing Xin’s views on children and analyze it’s expression through texts by taking Ji Xiao Du Zhe as example. Finally, back to education reality and think about the pragmatic influence that Bing Xin’s views on children have in setting courses for teachers to know children better.
