With the continuous progress of economic globalization, China’s coal enterprisesare facing an increasingly competitive environment. Coal companies to improve theircompetitiveness, survival and development, not only to improve the level of productiontechnology of the coal companies, but also make full use of the existing resources of thecoal companies to promote coal-fired power enterprise information technology toenhance the operating capacity of the coal companies. China’s large number of coalcompanies, corresponding occupies a very important position in the national economy,these coal companies’ flexible management modes; during the construction ofinformation technology has different characteristics.The core essence of corporate materials management is the use of networktechnology and computer technology to integrate corporate procurement and productionresources, reduce operating costs, improve production efficiency, and ultimatelymaximize the value of. In order to achieve the enterprise and between enterprises,between different departments of internal information collection and processing, thesharing of information resources, and the management of decision aids need to establishcorporate materials management system. The goal is to cover material procurement;material inventory supplies statistical systems, enterprise information network,information resources, and the modernization of management and scientificdecision-making.This article is mainly for corporate materials management system deficiencies,design and development for coal companies, corporate materials management system,done major work includes the following aspects:(1) describes the background of corporate materials management system, andsystem analysis and key technologies;(2) From the function of the system, business needs, performance requirements andthe construction of the possibility of analysis of the needs of the system and theestablishment of a use case model;(3) On the basis of the needs analysis, the main functional model of the design materials management system, the software model and data model;(4) On the basis of the design, the coal companies materials management systemby three-tier mode and effect analysis.The system has been put into use, the human computer interface is friendlyfeatures correspond to the actual needs of SMEs, to improve the efficiency of the supplychain management.
