With the rapid growth of a variety of applications in the network, multimedia, video, online games and Internet Business, Internet service provider (ISP) have to make thenetwork infrastructure constantly adjust link expansion to meet the needs of the kinds ofonline business demand of broadband resources.Concerned about the performance of the network traffic engineering optimization, itsmain goal is to easily provide efficient, reliable network services to optimize the use ofnetwork resources and network traffic. Traffic engineers make it ture through a largenumber of user operations to specific node preset path (LSP) to the service provider’snetwork. Multi-label Label Switching (MPLS), because of its support for trafficengineering, is an important technology in the new public network. The advantage ofMPLS technology is that it provides a complete separation of the routing plane andforwarding plane. This superposition model can easily be established on the physicalnetwork topology, and does not depend on the route of the virtual topology, then traffic ismapped to the topology.Made a more in-depth study of the papers on MPLS technology, introduced theconcept of traffic engineering, and elaborated MPLS technology works. This thesisfocuses on the realization of RSVP signaling protocol extensions made a detailed analysisand description. The RSVP protocol is initially to solve the problem of QoS in IP networks, the reserved bandwidth for the data, to ensure the quality of its service. RSVP operates atthe transport layer, being a control protocol, and does not involve the transmission ofapplication data. RSVP-TE extensions the five object, the new object can carry the labelinformation can also carry limits to choose the path of LSR to support LSP constraintsrouting functionality. The overall constraint RFC overall architectural design of RSVP-TEfunctional blocks and gives detailed needs analysis, design. Finally, RSVP-TE functionalmodules were tested and given the typical networking applications.
