In twenty-first Century, with the rapid development of video coding and videodata efficient decoding technology, and the rapid development of video transmissiontechnology, video surveillance technology has been rapid devel opment and wideapplication. Video monitoring system based on embedded system has the advantagesof small volume, low cost, convenient installation and many other advantages, iswidely used.In this paper, the design of video processing terminal based on S3C6410processor as the hardware platform, S3C6410processor with ARM1176JZ kernelarchitecture designed to support32-bit RISC of a low cost, low power consumption,high performance microprocessor solution. S3C6410uses the internal64/32-bit busarchitecture, integrates multiple encoding.The decoder, support MPEG4, H.264videocodec. It has abundant peripheral device controller and peripheral storage controller,very suitable for high requirement of real-time application of embedded products, richin.In this paper, using the H.264coding method to encode the original data of videocapture, H.264coding using high precision, multi pattern prediction technique makesthe original video data compression ratio is very high. H.264code module design forthe transmission of video data, makes the H.264coding standard has strong portability,can be conveniently used in a variety of operating system. H.264code design errors intransmission of video data, convenient for compressed video transmission in error,loss of multiple environment, improve the reliability of video data transmission.The design of video processing terminal is the format of the S3C6410internalcodec to do H.264hard coding of video data, the video coding module and a processorcore can be independent of each other’s work, a good solution to the bottleneck ofvideo data coding speed. This paper mainly describes the video processing terminalimplementation scheme, including the design of hardware platform terminal video,transplantation on the platform of S3C6410Linux system, the software design ofvideo acquisition, video compression.
