In order to reduce the cost of telephone communications, meet the need of more users,more and more companies use VoIP (Voice-over-IP) system. Because these companiescommonly have built the Ethernet, the usage of VoIP can reduce the expenses of telephonecall enormously. Particularly with the PBX solutions, IP telephone may reduce the average20%of the cost of enterprise’s service. The VoIP technology is becoming the one ofmainstream technologies in enterprise communications.This thesis introduces one new kind of enterprise distributed VoIP system, describes thedesign structure of network voice communications system, the correlation technology and thefunction realization.Enterprise distributed VoIP system software is made of ‘enterprise distributed VoIPsystem gatekeeper software’ and ‘enterprise distributed VoIP system gateway software’.The gatekeeper software is carried to the function of the gateway’s identificationverification, config, condition monitoring and etc; The gateway software is carried to thefunction of the telephone voice channel condition monitoring, IP telephone subscriber’s configmanagement, the all-sided connection platform building between the gateways, the networkcommunications protocol management, the telephone voice channel flow control, thetelephone voice signal route switch and etc.By avail of many networks multimedia and the related technology, this thesis finallybuilds a complete VoIP system. Through the software in application layer, this thesis realizesthe functions of connection control, route, network resource management, verification and etc,between existing PSTN, LAN, WAN establishes a logical control link. Its communicativeresult realized finally by the gateway is equal to the mode of point-to-point communicationswith switching of the communication of the telephone. It realizes the call and thecommunications between the two telephone terminals under the different gateways. It can’tonly reduce the equipment cost greatly, but also enable the system to have the good portability.It is advantageous for the system adjustment and the maintenance.This thesis research key for high performance network construction, network protocol design, voice flow management, system building and optimization. By discussions andresearches a series of problems mentioned above, the enterprise distributed VoIP system isfinally set up in lab environment.Through the systemic testing, the ability of communications and the functional indexeshave reached the expected demand. Through the constant perfection and improving of itsfunction and system itself, it will be hopeful to put into practical work in order to get the welleconomic and social benefits.
