As most of the electric power construction corporations in our country carry out project-construction in the work, the efficient incentives and restrictions to the project manager is very important. Combined with the current project managers’ evaluation system of Qilin Power Engineering Company, this study takes in-depth study of the project managers’evaluation system. Specifically, the main contents of this study have three parts:The first part is a theoretical study of the project managers’evaluation system. Assessment of the theoretical basis of some of the major research project manager, including basic concepts defined; the purpose of performance appraisal, the cycle and role of performance appraisal; the differences and links between performance appraisal and performance management. This part is the theoretical basis of this study.The second part is the assessment of the current project managers’evaluation system of Qilin Power Engineering Company. In this part, with the case this study takes in-depth study in the evaluation contents, evaluation methods and so on of the current project managers’evaluation system of Qilin Power Engineering Company. The problems and deficiencies in the current project managers’evaluation system of Qilin Power Engineering Company are summarized. This part is the realistic basis of this study.The third part is the optimization design of project managers’evaluation system of Qilin Power Engineering Company. In this part, the paper optimizes the project managers’evaluation system of the electric power construction corporations: the KPIs of the project manager are extracted and identified based on the work plan; using quantitative methods to design the weight of each evaluation indexs; some researches are carried which are related to the assessment methods and the application of the results; then methods and procedures of performance diagnosis and complaints are designed according to actual needs, at the same time proposed optimize steps of the evaluation system of project manager are proposed.In addition, the results and limitations as well as the future research directions of this study are summarized. This study has some theoretical value for the project managers’ evaluation in Electric Power construction corporations. This study also provides a reference for the managers of Electric Power construction corporations, it helps managers of Electric Power construction corporations to optimize and improve the project manager.
