Analysis On China’s Trust Industry Function Orientation And Future Evolution Paths Of Trust Industry Functions

As the key sub-industry of the finance industry in developed countries, the trust industry is greatly concerned with development of national economy. Trust industry has a development history more than thirty years. Being with law of development different from other countries’, it is rooted in China’s special economical environment. This thesis, by analyzing function characteristics of China’s trust industry and the evolutionary path of its future function, as well as conducting some research on its function orientation, offers policy advice on the healthy and connotative development of trust industry. The ultimate aim of this thesis is to promote the trust industry to perform its function and serve the real economy better.Based on the qualitative and the quota analysis on the financial environment around the domestic trust industry, this thesis holds the view that, at the present stage, China’s trust industry is characteristic of distinct credit medium function and creative function, the reasons of which are the regulatory arbitrage in finance restraining environment and special value of trust industry platform in sub-sector operations. Based on the research on trust industry of foreign and domestic and China’s trust industry policy, this thesis discusses about the function orientation of trust industry. It is argued that China’s trust industry shall actively improve ability of self-regulation, perform its self-management on asset and play its function of wealth management in the future.The future potential evolutionary paths of China’s trust industry are analyzed in this thesis. The main points of thesis are:Channel-type business shall cover a large-type proportion in the short term while the initiative asset management business shall move gradually upward; wealth management is almost a blank in the short time and it will gradually flourish in the medium and long term. For this purpose, this thesis put forward the relative policy suggestions that include:encourage the merger of trust companies, change the incentive mechanism of trust companies, build the marketing system in trust company and establish the trust product transfer market, etc.
