Agricultural modernization is a concept of history, world category, and development,referring to the transformation process from traditional agriculture to modern agriculture, thatis the process from human progress to livestock farming, mechanical force agriculture finallyto intelligence agriculture using advanced technology. Increasing agricultural materialproducts, improving the agricultural economic benefit, and riching the material life and spiritof rural life, is the starting point and the aiming point of agricultural modernization by armingagriculture with modern scientific technology. Agricultural mechanization and agriculturechemical is two mainstays of agricultural modernization. Its development process is dividedinto three stages: the first stage is the conceptualization of agricultural modernization withtraditional agriculture combined with modern industry; The second stage is the organiccombine of the agriculture and the armed society armed by modern science and technology;The third stage is the organic integration of the agricultural production and social and naturalecologically environment protection.This paper aims Shaanxi province as the research object, selecting Xian, Tongchuan,Baoji11regions, establishing13individual indexes including the total power of agriculturalmachinery per plantation unit, fertilizer rate per plantation unit, film dosage per plantationunit, per capita biogas pool number, proportion of primary industry, per capita GDP offarmers, per capita cultivated land area, unit food yield, per capita agriculture increased value,agricultural employment rate, effective irrigation rate, volume of forest, rate of agriculturalafflicted. And through the principal component analysis and cluster analysis method, evaluatethe agricultural modernization level and phase of Shaanxi province regions, and theconsistency between the agricultural modernization level and the economy development level.Agricultural modernization cannot realize without the development and application ofagricultural science and technology. The development of agricultural scientific researchprovides power source, and the promotion of scientific and technological achievementsprovides the realistic productive forces for agricultural development. The reasonable application of agricultural science and technology is the important factor to promoteagricultural structure adjustment, improve agricultural competitiveness, and realize thesustainable development of agricultural production. In this paper, the total power ofagricultural machinery per plantation unit, fertilizer rate per plantation unit, film dosage perplantation unit, per capita biogas pool number are chosen as the representative factors of theapplication of agricultural technology, using the correlation analysis to study the effect onagricultural modernization.The specific methods are combined by theory and empirical, quantitative and qualitativeanalysis. Analysis the influence and function of the degree and application of agriculturaltechnology to the agricultural modernization, using time series and section data, clusteranalysis and principal component analysis. Results show that there is consistent between theagricultural modernization level and economic development level among different areas ofShaanxi province. Total power of agricultural machinery per plantation unit and agriculturalmodernization is not obvious, The correlation of the fertilizer rate per plantation unit andagricultural modernization is obvious, and there is significance between total power ofagricultural machinery per plantation unit and the fertilizer rate per plantation unit. Thecorrelation of film dosage per plantation unit and agricultural modernization is obvious. Thecorrelation of per capita biogas pool number and agricultural modernization is not obvious.According to the conclusion and concrete analysis, Suggestions on how to improve the levelof agricultural modernization and how to rationally use agricultural science and technologyresources are put forward.
