In the first decade of21stcentury, China witnessed a rapid development in the economyof rural area, while the ecological environment in this area did not get correspondingprotection. The main problem is that the agricultural non-point source pollution (AGNPS). Itsmain feature reflects on the increasing usage of fertilizers, and pesticides, discharging thelivestock waste, burning the straw without any regulations. These phenomena leads to severeproblems, like, deterioration of irrigation water, drop of soil quality, what’s worse, pollutantsmay threat human beings and livestock’ safety through water and air. Tianmen city, animportant agricultural city in Hubei province, thus it is essential and urgent to take somemeasures to protect the agricultural environment.Farmers and their behaviors play an important role in the process of prevention andtreatment of non-point source pollution. This study expected to examine the existinggovernance policies and measures from the perspective of farmers, then make somesuggestions on the existing policies and measures, moreover, it also attempted to exploresome possible reasonable policy measures for future. The willingness of the farmers is thecore of this study. To be more specific, firstly, this paper collected related farmers behaviortheory and the theory of non-point source pollution as the theoretical basis of this article. Then by using the Logit model to inspect the willingness of farmers on a special non-pointsource pollution technology, and then analyzed its influencing factors. The following aresome conclusions, farmers’ willingness on new technologies are influenced by educationlevel, age of farming, environmental awareness, the awareness of the role of technology, information. Finally, we make some policies and selections for farmers via Choice Modeling, thenestablish multinomial logit model (MNL) to inspect and analyze farmers’ willingness.Theseare some conclusions, farmers prefer to choosing technology as their first choice, besides, price subsidies can be used to reduce the over-use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides. Lastly farmers show lower acceptance on the monitoring tail water from the soil.
