Since our founding, especially since the reform and opening up, the Chinesegovernment pay more and more attention to the construction of public health. Afterthe SARS happened in2003,our government gradually strengthen the support ofpublic health. Public health has made great development. It also have createdfavorable conditions for improving national health level The report of18th CPCNational Congress points that Health is the request of promotion of humanprogress development.We should insist to provide people with more efficient andhigh quality medical and health services.When we affirming the achievement ofpublic health construction, we should also analyze the existing problems at thesame time. For example, health resources allocation is lack of efficiency. There arebadly waste of resources or output deficit. There are also obvious regional differencebetween different regions, and even difference between different provinces andcities in the same region is also significant. I am for the efficiency of governmenthealth expenditure, not only prevents the realization of the goal and alsooptimization of the government expenditure structure. Based on the thorough andextensive understanding of our current government health expenditure,to study andanalyze our government’s health expenditure efficiency, thus puts forward policySuggestions to optimize health resources allocation and the government expenditurestructure has an important significance. Therefore, this paper use DEA model (dataenvelopment analysis) to analyze and compare government health expenditureefficiency of31provinces in our country. It will be very helpful to further improvethe efficiency of our government health spending.
