Because of currently rapid economic development, people’s living standards have been greatly improved. However this phenomenon followed by several problems,Such as energy consumption and pollutant emissions, the environment and resources are facing great pressure. Energy conservation has risen to national strategic issues. Energy saving and the emission of pollutants reducing can not only create wealth, but also the important foundation to achieve sustainable development to the countries and businesses. Energy management is the means of management through the allocation of energy, the use of the process, the consumption patterns and the utilization efficiency of the system. In order to find a suitable energy management model, we should base on the status and conditions of every enterprise.The iron and steel industry is the pillar industry of the country, and is also the focused industries of the energy consumption and pollution emission. The steel industry is one of the key areas of the national implementation of energy saving strategies. It is of great significance to achieve a low-carbon economy and energy efficiency goals. However there should be a correct energy management mode to achieve energy saving. So the iron and steel enterprises should strengthen energy management process to select a mode suitable for the enterprise.This thesis master the status quo and development trend of the study of energy management by reading a lot of research literature of energy conservation and energy management mode of iron and steel enterprises at home and abroad. This article also summed up the existing energy management model and the advantages and disadvantages of each one. This paper uses a case study approach, selecting two representative domestic iron and steel enterprises. To insure the reliability of the research data, the paper uses a variety of ways to collect data. Through theoretical analysis the paper initially identified the factors that affect the energy management mode selection of the iron and steel enterprise, and then build a research model. The paper detailed the analysis through strict accordance with the steps of the case study method. At last draw the conclusions of this study, and correct the conceptual model, and raise a suitable mode for the current economic development.
