With the rapid development and wide application of information technology, thehuman economic model is mainly transferring from the era of industrial economy toinformation economy age. In the era of knowledge economy, enterprises are faced withthe increasingly fierce competition. In this case, the enterprise how to recognize andmaintain its core competitiveness will be crucial to win competitive advantage. Basedon the competency study of Le Deist and Winterton, we could divide it into fourdimensions: meta-competence, functional competence, cognitive competence, socialcompetence. The paper deepens and dynamicly analyses the enterprise-managers’competencies:(1) The deepening research of competency research is maily embodied inthe following two aspects: This research aims at microscopic and dynamic level ofmanagers competency research, and deepens the competency research from the singlelevel extension to the multi-dimension, which reflect the multi-level andmulti-dimension of iceberg-model of competency;(2) By applying the method ofDEMATEL and system simulation, this study transforms the research of competencyfrom static to dynamic. And from the perspective of competency system, this paperstudies the individual competency of enterprise-managers’ competency system.(3) Thispaper explores the causal relationship and the interaction of the internal structure of theenterprise-managers’ competency from a dynamic perspective, no longer sgruggle withsingle competency indicators.Through the analysis of enterprise managers competency, the main conclusions ofthis paper consists of the following five aspects:1) Through literature analysis, fourdimenions model of competency is established, indluding cognitivecompetence(conceptual skills, theoretical knowledge, situational knowledge,procedural knowledge/skills), functional competence(leaderhip, human resourcemanagement ability, team management ability, administrative skills, professional skills),social competence(personality and ability qualities, social skills, ethics and values),meta-competence(thinking ability, learning ability, self-development ability), a total offour primary dimensions and15secondary dimensions;2) Through DEMATEL analysis,it is found that the Meta-competence and Cognitive Competence are thereason-elements, and the Functional Competence and Social Competence are theresult-elements;3) Through the simulation analysis, we found that enterprise managers’ competency presents the exponential growth in iterative process, and functionalcompetence is the fastest developing speed among them;4) Through the simulationanalysis, we found that the growth trends of different competency dimensions present abig difference in the iteration process;5) At the same time, this paper studies thestructure the enterprise-managers’ competencies and their causal link between eachother. And different education degree, age, work-time of managers’ competencies isresearched. On the basis of these, manager’s competency has carried on the simulationsystem, compares the contribution degree of each competencies on the wholecompetency system.The paper obtains the enterprise managers’ competency dimensions, interactiondirection and the growth trends of competence system. It helps us deeper understandingof the composition of competency, and provides references for the empirical research.At the same time, the competency system’ mutual effect mechanism and the pattern ofgrowth also provide a new view for us.
