As the increasing competition,Express industry has entered a stage if marginal profit.Quite often we news about see Express operation units shutting down,having strike and breaking down,not hard to tell even their existence is becoming more and more difficult.The operation units are the key of Express industry,which enhancing management skill,talent development of Operation Manager or Head of Operation Unit are the core to stabilize operation units,as well as ensuring enterprise advantage and competitiveness.The Operation Manager of Company M has been selected for research,by adapting competency model theory,combining required skillset Company M?s has on Operation Manager at transformation stage,to conduct talent analysis about existing Operation managers and identify potential problems and challenges,in order to provide comprehensive solution to competency enhancement.Operation manager competency model was built via research validation during the process,by setting up selection standards and criteria,as well as offering skill enhancement based development approach and all-around incentive procedure.The aim is to integrate personal capability enhancement and business development,improve operation manager?s talent management capability to the next level,establish stable on the ground management team,and achieve operation target in a more effective way.By taking on the ground management personnel team as my research target,this is to implement competency model theory learned through this MBA course to my daily job.The analysis and research has proven to be practical and referable for how Express industry can develop and ground management team,build up stable entry level personnel,and drive for Express industry transformation as well as core competitiveness formation.
