With the acceleration of the process of globalization and networking, the operatingenvironments of enterprises become more and more complex. Many new forms of organizationalstructure in enterprises emerge, such as strategic alliance, virtual organizations, networkorganizations and boundaryless organizations. These new forms of organizational structures aredifferent from traditional ones, they have obvious complexity.This paper analyzes the complexity of organizational structure of Chinese enterprises underthe special environment. The main contents are as follows: First, it analyzes the specialenvironments of China, and find out four factors which caused the complexity of organizationalstructure: complicated transition economy, chaotic structure of property rights, diversiformstrategic and innovatory technology. Second, it researches the complexity characters oforganizational structure appear diversiform, mutative, multi-lever and nonlinear. Third, it usesthe examples of Haier Group, Lenovo Group and Sinopec Group to verify the complexitycharacters and reasons of organizational structure from comprehensive analysis. Fourth, itprovides suggestions for designing organizational structure according to the complexitycharacters of organizational structure: First, Organizational structure should match with strategicand process; Second, Organizational structure should match with organizational characters andenvironment; Third, Organizational structure should match with the responsibility, rights andprofit; Fourth, network structure should match with hierarchical structure.
