A Study On The Complexity And Cooperation Of The Organizational Structure

Organizational structure is the basic framework of the enterprises and the carrier of all business activities. The effectiveness of the organizational structure relates to the achievement of organizational strategy, access of the core competence and ability of maintaining the competitive edge. It plays a crucial role which promoted the continuous theoretical and practical exploration and accumulated a series of theoretical results. Today, in a complex and highly competitive era of knowledge economy, this exploration is still continuing, but the form of organizational structure has undergone many changes. The increasingly complexity and uncertainty of organizational inside and outside environment makes the complexity of organizational structure increasingly obvious and becomes an important feature. However, the current theoretical researches about the complexity are relatively few and the ones under the guidance of the complexity science are even fewer. Basing on this, this paper will integrate the complexity of organizational structure and complexity science and bring forward the complex structural organization on the basis of the measure of the complexity of the structure. Finally, explore its running mechanism-cooperation. The main thesis of the paper is as follow:Firstly, according to the horizontal, vertical and space dimensions, construct the evaluation index system of the organizational structural complexity, and quantitate the evaluation results by means of fuzzy set theory;Secondly, construct the three-dimensional vector space of the organizational structural complexity. The results will be described as the vectors whose quantities mean the total complexity. The individual and systematic analysis will be organically integrated.Thirdly, define the complex structural organization in accordance with the complexity vector and classify it. Use the complexity theory to analyze the main features of the organization. On the basis, do some research on the mechanism, effect of its cooperation.Finally, make some research on the multi-dimensional structural organization and conduct the practical research on IBM's cooperation.
