Huai'an City Ecological Agriculture Development

Ecological agriculture is a modern agricultural model which combines economic, ecological and social benefits. It has become the inevitable trend of the agricultural development of the world. Nowadays, many regions in China, including Huai’an city, are developing their local ecological agriculture according to their respective conditions. Through the approaches of investigation, literature and case study, this paper makes a systematic study and analysis of the ecological agriculture of Huai’an.This authors believes the ecological agriculture of Huai’an has a bright prospect, which lies in the next few factors:the solid foundation of its ecological agriculture, the expanding scale of the promotion of its ecological agricultural products, the increasing proportion of its ecological agricultural production value, and the intensity of its ecological conservation as well as the overwhelming advantages of its ecological agricultural development.On the other hand, there are some unfavorable factors that restrain the development of the ecological agriculture of Huai’an, such as the poor creativity and innovation of its agricultural research, the lack of quality of the agricultural laborers, the low level of industrialization of its ecological agriculture, the unavailability of its agricultural informatization, and the inadequacy of the relevant laws and regulations.Therefore, on the basis of a thorough and detailed analysis of the ecological agriculture of Huai’an, the author puts forward some suggestions as to the improvement and perfection. First, reform the local agricultural management and establish efficient system to increase of the creativity and innovation of the agricultural research. Second, place more emphasis on the education and training of the local agricultural laborers to improve their qualities. Third, display the advantage of the local ecological agriculture and increase the overall agricultural competitive power. Fourth, diversify and create means to supply more funds to the local ecological agriculture. Next, promote the agricultural informatization and perfect the agricultural information service. Finally, the agricultural management system should be perfected, and a favourable legal environment should be created for the ecological agricultural development.
