For a long time, an endless stream of research literature on corporate performance influencing factors, and issues of common concern of the company’s owners, managers, and researchers. As we all know, a lot of factors that affect the company’s performance from outside the company, also from the company itself. Well, the executives as the company’s most important internal human resources concern, Western academics have emerged since the advent of high-level theory, a large number of studies on the executive team characteristics affect the relationship between the company’s performance. At present, however, our research on this aspect in its infancy study variable selection and research methods mostly follow the Western, the lack of effective research combined with the actual national conditions, therefore this article select from this-pronged approach to study the extent of its impact on the company’s performance, in order to draw some valuable conclusions.Into the21st century, IT industry, rapid development, especially in recent years, high-tech electronic products are popular in the world, the wisdom and efforts of the congregation of the IT industry executives are inseparable. In China, the information industry is a sunrise industry, is in constant development and growth. Many of our IT product output ranked first in the world in2008, an average annual growth rate of nearly30%in2001-2007. By the end of2010, the total output value of China’s information industry has reached2.26trillion, accounting for10%of the total GDP. Well, behind the rapid development of China’s IT industry, the executive team has played what role and influence, author interested and therefore this article select the senior management team of the IT industry, listed companies as the object of this paper.This article screened83listed companies in the IT industry as the sample company, selected its empirical studies conducted from2009to2011a total of249observations. In this paper, the senior echelon theory based research executive team demographic characteristics of the variable on the company’s performance. On the classification of the study variables, demographic characteristics of the executive team divided into homogeneous, heterogeneous, and other relevant variables into three categories of the dependent variable using factor analysis method to extract the company’s consolidated financial performance to measure. Research methods, this paper established a fixed-effects panel data model, the multiple regression analysis, to draw valuable conclusions.
