Rural community has quietly entered the risk society. Because rural areas have many loopholes in the system or defects, rural areas are just as the gathering area of social risk. Farmers facing social risk are in a relatively inferior position. Risk society, the greatest threat to farmers is the health threat to life, because life and health of farmers is directly related to farmers’ income and living standards. Focus of this article is to how much is the risk of disease by social transformation.Facing the risk of these diseases, can the medical security system deal with effects? Can it protect the farmers effectively avoid risks? Although in recent years academic about the risk of social and rural medical security system has been covered, but from the perspective of risk society to discuss the rural medical security system, the research results are only a few. Based on this, this passage selected S village in Nanjing for this research and residents in the village as the object of this research, author will understand the current threat to farmers in rural health risk status through questionnaires and interviews, analysis of rural medical security system to deal with situations of risk, and based on the risk social context, to explore ways to improve the rural medical security system to protect farmers from the risk of invasion.Studies have shown that:the transformation of modern society brings tremendous changes in rural areas, The way of rural labor、consumption and social interaction have been achieved the transformation to a modern countryside, Social transformation is a double edged sword. It improves their living standards, but also brought a corresponding risk of disease, including the risk of agricultural production, food safety, environmental pollution and health risks caused by social mobility and so on. Survey found that transformation of social lifestyle in countryside brought changes in farmers’ disease spectrum, which is rapid growth in incidence of chronic diseases the farmers’ disease risk will be greatly increased. The risk of relying solely on the social power of the individual farmers is not enough, the medical insurance system is a key force in response to disease risk, but by the S village’s investigation found that the current rural medical security system is not enough to cope with existing disease risk, the reasons that led to this lack of have historical reasons and practical reasons, The author summarized the shortcomings of the current rural medical security system and had a detailed analysis of the reasons, on the basis, proposed the innovation path of rural medical security system, including allocation of health care resource, upgrade of the new rural cooperative medical system, improvement of rural medical aid system and Coordinated development of other basic health care system. Through the medical insurance system, we can protect farmers effectively avoid risks, and protect their life and health.
