Study On Causes Of Poverty And Countermeasure Of Poverty About The Famers In The Barkos County Of Xinjiang

Rural poverty is the focus of china’s poverty alleviation work and the soft underbelly of theconstruction of a well-off standard of living. The Barkol county’ farmers poverty is one of the so manyreality and typical problems.This thesis begin from the theory and poverty of the farmers, with the method which of field researchand systems analysis, the combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis, and combining analysis andempirical analysis. First give a macro analysis of Barkol’ poverty, including the delineation of the povertyline, the overall condition of the rural poverty, the characteristics of poverty and poverty dynamic change,give a microscopic analysis about rural households, household income and expenditure, as well as farmersconsumer durables, moreever, make a comparative analysis of two types of livestock of livestocktownship and agricultural township. Then identify the main factors of poverty-stricken farmers of theregion by the logistic model analysis. Also study the causes of poverty through a qualitative analysis. Atlast, give countermeasures and suggestions from the perspective based the combined analysis results andthe favorable conditions of this region.The results show that: Barkol county has a large poverty number and the poverty degree is deep.Eighty seven percent of the poverty numbers are Kazak farmers. Livestock farmers are more poverty inthe Animal husbandry township than Agricultural township. The poverty causes include poor agriculturalproduction conditions, poor infrastructure, lower quality human capital, pressure from Long-term ailmentssuch as arthritis and Hypertension. The main Factors of Poverty contain education level of the head of thehousehold, do industry behavior, whether to adjust planting structure and breeding structure, the terrain ismountainous or not, the amount of labor and the age of the Head of household.
