Relevancy Research Of The Coupling Between Industrial Structure And Population Structure In Shanxi Province

There is a complex interaction between structure of industry and population. Population structure influences the industrial structure from different angles, in different ways. At the same time, the change of industrial structure will influence the populations in turn. From the perspective of population structure, this article discusses the coupling correlation situation of industrial structure and population structure of Shanxi Province, clarifies the interaction mechanism of industrial structure and population structure, analyzes the role of population structure in promoting economic development in Shanxi, promoting upgrading of the industrial structure,and the influence of industrial structure adjustment for demographic changes, especially the urbanization. Then some scientific and reasonable Suggestions are proposed on the adjustment of industrial structure and the optimization of population structure, especially on the development of urbanization in Shanxi.This paper firstly, builds the index system of industrial structure and population structure, and collects the required data from Shanxi statistical yearbook and census data. On the basis, using grey correlation analysis method, we have the main factors, the temporal and spatial analysis, and further regression analysis by SPSS, to discuss the mechanism of the industrial structure and population structure of Shanxi Province. The results show that:(1) There is a higher correlation between Shanxi’s industrial structure and it’s population structure, that is a close relationship. The proportion of population migration, urban-rural structure, cultural structure, age structure, above all are factors of population structure, have a great impact on the value structure, employment structure and structure’s deviation degree, above all are factors of industrial structure. On the other hand, value structure, employment structure and investment structure have a great impact on population migration, development of urbanization, improvement of people’s culture quality. (2) Industrial structure differs in space with population structure about coupling relationship. In Shanxi Province, the industrial structure and population structure coupled spatial distribution is mainly characterized by the antagonistic type and the run-in type. Since2000, the industrial structure and population structure coupling in Shanxi Province show a movements’ track of the "inverted U" shaped. The relationships between industrial structure and population structure are becoming increasingly coordination.(3) The influence of industrial structure on population structure:The reduction of the primary industry output value proportion, the increment of tertiary industry output value proportion, as well as the increment of employment proportion of the secondary industry and tertiary industry are beneficial to the improvement of the Urbanization level; the tertiary industry’s development has become the main force of the population migration. The influence of population structure on industrial structure: Population culture structure adjustment, especially the increment of college degree or above population proportion resulted in the output value proportion and employment proportion increased which Promoted the coordinated development of the value structure and employment structure; As the proportion of elderly population Increasing, it has a great influence on the development of the tertiary industry; The improvement of population migration proportion and urban level can improve the deviation of industrial structure, which Promoted the coordinated development of the output value and employment of the secondary industry and tertiary industry.
