Theincome of fishery is a great proportion of total income in Shandong Province which isrich in resources of marine fishery. Marine fishery in Shandong Province will have ggood development, there are two reasons, on one aspect, Shandong Province havebetter location and climate, on other aspect, as people begin to pay more and moreattention to the issues of food safety, and seafood is more safe and nutritious, therewill be a big demand of seafood in the future. Science and technology is necessary ofthe development of marine fishery, However, in the present, the quality and quantityof science and technology about marine fisheries can’t meet the demand ofdevelopment of the marine fisheries in Shandong Province. Characteristics offishery cooperatives technology extension system about marine fishery is that,introducing new technology which fishermen need, the better ability to take risks.Characteristics of leading enterprises technology extension system is that, a strongability to undertake risks, Sufficient funds about introducing technology and project,satisfactory extension speed, equipped with professional laboratory, pay attention tothe training of technical personnel. Characteristics of fisheries universities andscientific research institutions technology extension system about marine fisheries isthat, fisheries universities and scientific research institutions, fishery enterprisebenefit each other; technology extension is fastest and most direct.There are lots of problems existing in technology extension system about marinefisheries of Shandong Province, such as the imperfect function, unsatisfactory staffstructure, funds shortage, the integration of scientific research force is not in place, thethe ability of innovation is not strong, fishery professional cooperatives hasunreasonable management system, lesser fishery leading enterprises, the contradictionbetween fishermen and leading enterprises, the extension system leaded byuniversities and scientific research institutions pay more attention to research thanextension. Therefore, we must adhere to the dominant position of the government,establishes technology extension team, increases government investment, takes fulladvantages of technological resources and research power of scientific researchinstitutions, regulates fisheries cooperatives operation with policy, supports thefishery enterprises from policy, promotes achievements of fisheries universities andscientific research institutions in technology extension.
