Research On EVA Theory Of Performance Evaluation In Steel Enterprise

Iron and steel enterprises are the basic industries of the nationaleconomy, which have an important position in the national economy. Thedevelopment of the iron and steel enterprises can drive the development oftransportation, energy, rail transport which is related to steel industry. After theoccurrence of the sub-prime crisis, the global financial crisis has produced adestructive role on the National and International Economy. The positive policies andmeasures have been implemented to make domestic macro economy gradually getbetter. The production and management of Iron and steel enterprises also has arestorative growth. But With the2011European debt crisis deepening, iron and steelenterprise again appeared recession situation. So how to effectively improve Iron andsteel enterprise’s value creation ability and business performance ability is veryimportant, and it is also one of the important topics which academia and practice needto face with.This paper makes related analysis and empirical treatment on the theory ofeconomic value added (referred to as "EVA"), it expounded on the basis of the ironand steel enterprises development feature. The analysis results show that the theory ofEVA and traditional business performance evaluation have a great consistency andcorrelation, and it has feasibility and rationality to use EVA for steel enterprises’business performance evaluation.The text can divide into five chapters:Chapter Ⅰ,Introduction. This article mainly discusses the writing background,theoretical significance and practical significance, the present national andinternational research situation, at the same time it also mentions the researchtechnique and ideas.Chapter Ⅱ, an overview of the iron and steel enterprises. This stage introducesiron and steel enterprises’ present situation mainly from the importance of iron andsteel enterprises and their development features; in addition, it also discusses thetraditional operating performance evaluation system of iron and steel enterpriseChapter Ⅲ, theory analysis of EVA about the business performance of iron andsteel enterprises. This chapter mainly introduces theoretical basis, basic concept,adjustment and calculation of EVA, describes specifically calculation of iron and steelenterprises.ChapterⅣ, empirical analysis of EVA about the business performance of iron andsteel enterprises. This chapter makes regression and Pearson correlation coefficientanalysis between EVA and traditional operating performance evaluation, thus itdescribes they have a great consistency and relevance, and it has feasibility and rationality to use EVA for steel enterprises’ business performance evaluation.ChapterⅤ, Summary and Outlook. This chapter summarizes this text and pointsout the shortage of the article. Finally, it puts forward the application prospect of EVAtheory.
