Study On The REER’s Influence On The Commodity Structure Of Import And Export

As a country’s economic leverage, exchange rate is an important factor to affectChina’s import and export and has an important impact on China’s economy. Since the2008financial crisis, there is increasing pressure of RMB appreciation, China’s RMBexchange rate has been appreciating significantly. The trade structure is the basis ofChina’s foreign trade, and whether China’s foreign trade structure is reasonable relates tothe development of China’s foreign trade. Nowadays the exchange rates and import andexport merchandise trade structure are two hot issues. Studying the relationship betweenRMB exchange rate volatility and the structure of China’s foreign trade is also ofconcern.The first chapter is the introduction of the article. It first introduces the backgroundand significance of the paper, and describes the research methods and structure of thepaper. The second chapter is about the Theory Research of RMB exchange rate on theimpact of China’s import and export trade structure, this chapter by comparison ofexisting relevant literature, and codify the simple description. The third chapter is theevolution of the RMB exchange rate and the status quo of China’s import and exporttrade structure, first on the evolution of the exchange rate system and the characteristicsof each stage analysis, then the combination of data and charts show the status quo ofChina’s import and export trade structure. The fourth chapter is the empirical analysis ofthe impact of RMB exchange rate on the structure of China’s import and exportmerchandise trade. Including modeling, data selection and processing, and use of theADF unit root test, co-integration analysis, Granger causality test, an empirical testanalysis of the impact of the RMB exchange rate on the structure of import and exporttrade. Chapter empirical conclusions and policy recommendations, according to theprevious chapter, the empirical results were analyzed and summarized thecorresponding empirical results, and some policy recommendations based on theempirical results.
