Private banking is a financial institution that provides a comprehensive package of personal wealth management and other financial solution specifically for high net worth individual. Private banking originated from Europe, then flourished in North America and other regions. Since the Reform and opening China’s high net worth population expanded rapidly, and domestic demand is a large wealth management market. Especially since the beginning of the21st century, China’s private banking enter a period of rapid development, which has been developed from exploration stage to expansion stage. There are many competitors in Domestic private banking market, private banking has become an important strategy in the future development of commercial banks.In despite of the rapid development, but products and services mode of private banking are not mature, product configuration strategy is still relatively backward, the product configuration has few category, and there is a gap between product and customer demand.This paper attempts to survey private banking clients of Construction Bank of China Qingdao Branch, including the individual characteristics of the customer’s risk appetite, financial habits, products, services and personal life state survey, which provide basic information for domestic financial institutions, and provide a reference and ideas particularly for the private banking business of commercial banks.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is a introduction that includs research topic, purpose, meaning, as well as the development of domestic and international private banking; the second part discusses the basic conception of private banking, economic theory and society theory and empirical studies summarized; the third part overviews development of Construction Bank of China Qingdao Branch private banking business development, and analyses customer demand and product configuration based on questionnaire of Qingdao Branch customer; and draws the Qingdao area customers’ product configuration features and influencing factors; the fourth part analyses the product configuration strategy; Finally, paper makes a summary of this article Construction Bank of China Qingdao Branch revelation of private banking research.
