Firm Network, Knowledge Management Capability And Technological Innovation Performance

Facing changes in the domestic and international environment, how to improveenterprise technological innovation performance is an important prerequisite for thesurvival of the enterprise. According to the resource-based view of technologicalinnovation, this thesis integrates the viewpoints from the literatures of firm networkand knowledge management capability separately, and believes that improving firm’stechnological innovation performance depends on not only how to get usefulresources but also how to use them effectively. The relationship between firm networkand technological innovation performance is influenced by the firm’s resourcemanagement capabilities, especially such as knowledge management capability.The thesis take the high-tech industries in which the technological innovationactivities are more frequent as the research object, research the following threeelements: First, the author divide the enterprise network into structure dimension,cognitive dimension and relationship-dimensional based on the corporate networktheory and study the different dimensions of the role in the enterprise technologyinnovation performance,the results rich and develop the enterprise network theoryand technological innovation theory. Second, study the role of the differentdimensions of knowledge management capacity in the enterprise technologyinnovation performance, the dimensions which are knowledge acquisition capability,knowledge protection capabilities, knowledge Transformation ability and knowledgeapplication ability. Third, study the interaction of the enterprise network andknowledge management capabilities to the enterprise technology innovationperformance considering the effect of the adjustment of the enterprise resourcemanagement capabilities.The results based on empirical test show that the relationship between firmnetwork and technological innovation performance is moderated by firm knowledge management capacity significantly. The conclusions suggest some guidances inpractice about firm’s technological innovation management form the perspective ofgetting and management outside resources effectively.
