Study On The Influence Of Entrepreneurial Environment On Farmers’ Entrepreneurial Willingness

Creating favorable environment for entrepreneurship can stimulate farmers’entrepreneurial willingness, guide farmers’ entrepreneurial behavior, and improve farmers’entrepreneurial performance. It is of important significances to tapping the potential ofrural development, improving the lives of farmers, promoting the new rural construction,accelerating regional economic development, and coordinating urban and ruraldevelopment.Based on the review of the relevant literature, this paper builds the evaluation indexsystem which is suitable for farmers’ entrepreneurial environment from the perspective offarmers. Then, discuss farmers’ satisfaction for entrepreneurial environment, and study theinfluence of entrepreneurial environment on the farmers’ entrepreneurial willingness. Toevaluate the farmer’ satisfaction of entrepreneurial environment, this paper draws on thecustomer satisfaction theory. In this theory, farmers look as customers and entrepreneurialenvironment looks as product or service provided by government. Analysis of the influenceof entrepreneurial environment on farmers ’entrepreneurial willingness is divided in threeparts: the impact of overall entrepreneurial environment and farmers’ basic characteristics,the impact of entrepreneurial environment and farmers’ basic characteristics in eachdimension separately as well as the impact of entrepreneurial environment and farmers’basic characteristics in each dimension commonly.The result supports three assumptions of the article. First, the farmers’ satisfaction ofentrepreneurial environment is in the general level on the whole. Second, in the secondindexes of entrepreneurial environment, the satisfaction of infrastructure environment ishighest, and the satisfaction of social and economic environment and policy supportenvironment are slightly higher than the overall level, while the satisfaction oftechnological environment and financial service environment are in the low level. Third,entrepreneurial environment has an important impact on farmers’ entrepreneurialwillingness: overall entrepreneurial environment has a significant positive impact onfarmers’ entrepreneurial willingness; each of policy support environment, social andeconomic environment, technological environment, financial service environment,infrastructure environment has positive effect separately; when five aspects entrepreneurialenvironment act on entrepreneurial willingness commonly, only technological environmenthas not significant effect. Forth, in the farmers’ basic characteristics, risk attitude hasnegative effect on entrepreneurial willingness; educational degree, whether have skills ornot, household per capita annual net income and many types of friends have positive effect;age, gender and number of family members have not significantly effect.On the basis of analysis, some suggestions are put forward to optimize the farmers’entrepreneurial environment.
