| The family business is the oldest form of mankind’s organization. It’s also one of the most vitality of the modern organization. Until now, most enterprises are still controlled by the family among the major global economies. In our country, since the reform and opening up,35years of rapid economic growth is also the history of a fast growing of the family business. The growth of our family business has experienced the unfavorable institutional environment at the beginning and the increasingly intense competition which comes from domestic and international market. And now, a considerable part of the family business has grown to become a big enterprise which has great market influence or the leading enterprise in the industry. However, after30years of growth, the development of the family business has encountered a bottleneck. At present, during many development constraints of family business, family management is an important aspect. And the change of enterprise management mode is associated with the optimization of the corporate organization form. In this context, this paper will examine the changing course of the organizational forms of the family business, and the optimization of corresponding organizational forms that are at different stages of development.Firstly, this article defines the connotation of the family business and some related concepts, and then expounds the difference between them. Secondly, it reviews the development of Chinese family business and the contribution to national economy, explores the change of organizational forms of the family business, and analyzes the pros and cons of the various forms of organization. Thirdly, based on the theory and current institutional environment, it analyses the factors that affect the organizational forms. Then it summarizes the selection of the development of organizational forms of the family business, by examining the changing process of the United States’and Japanese family business organization form. Finally, the paper makes relevant suggestions to optimize the organizational forms of the family business for different stages of development. |
