Cutting Tools Outsourcing Study On Small And Medium Machining Enterprises

The small and medium machining enterprises have important status and high proportion in machinery manufacture Industry, and they have to apply a great many of CNC cutting tools (cutting tool for short). The right using method can affect the efficiency and quality of their products. In1990’s, TCM company and Guring company, as the representation of tooling outsourcing industry, entered China together with foreign motor manufacturing enterprises and the new tooling outsourcing model brought a new environment in China. Because tooling application need special technology and experience in metal cutting, small and medium machining enterprises begin to product the request for tooling outsourcing business.Bogie shop as part of BSThas two topic practices as the case of cutting tools outsourcing and so they become the studying case of this thesis. This thesis, taking supply chain theory and value chain theory as the base, finds out the reasons of problems by analysing the case. In chapter4, the author makes a innovative study on the tooling outsourcing business and makes a systematic discuss in following directions:behaviour driving factor analysis, value chain analysis, operation process design of frame machining, cutting tools outsourcing decision-making model, choosing model design of cutting tools outsourcing supplier and decision-making model of resigning contract. Cutting tools outsourcing decision-making model is built as cutting tools outsourcing decision-making matrix, combining the decision-making model of classifying and business choosing and the class of outsourcing depth, describes clearly the business range and decision-making method.It is necessary to study the ensuring measures in order to implement the outsourcing policy. In chapter5, the author introduce the schedule of tooling management in BST bogie shop, how to build up trusting relationship with supplier, and how to build to build up risk control system; then the author studies the supporting activity from supplier in supplier’s aspect.In chapter6,"cutting tools leasing mall" conception functioned as "throwing a stone to clear the road". Its purpose is to explore a new way for small and medium enterprises."Cutting tools leasing mall" and a clients union must be set up by a competitive tooling supplier, and most of machining enterprises join in the union leaded by this supplier. In this clients union, all the tools of supplier and clients can store in the mall and achieve tooling resource share, leasing each other. By this way, the united clients can save the cost of tooling stock, at the same time, the supplier expands the space of development and profit. It is a great hope that one of supplier with insight can carry it out in business.
