In foreign countries, economy hotel as a brand new hotel business has developed into a mature form of hotel management; In China, economy hotel is developing rapidly, economy hotels are cheap and high quality service win the trust of many consumers, at the same time the characteristics of less investment, quick returns garnered lots of investors. The rapid development of economy hotel, also exposed many problems needed to resolve.Based on nanning city star hotel as the research background, aiming at nanning city star hotel in encountered in the process of development of development strategy and its implementation strategy, etc are studied and discussed, In China Beijing, Shanghai, guangzhou and other first-tier cities, the scale of economy hotel development has been saturated gradually, many of the budget hotel investors focus to two lines, three lines cities and small cities, cities and counties in the fierce market competition, will stand out among so many competitors, and consumers in the market, the nanning city star hotel must develop practical and feasible development strategy. To investigate and study the issue of nanning city star hotel development strategy, this paper USES the theory of strategic management, etc, based on the use of PEST analysis, porter five model analysis, value chain analysis and SWOT analysis of the related theory of nanning city star hotel internal environment and external environment, industry competition environment analysis, to develop a cost leadership strategy, product differentiation strategy and focus strategy and so on three big strategy. Also for the hotel development strategy put forward the corresponding strategy implementation of the strategy, mainly by improving the hotel core competitiveness, focus on different development, improve marketing ability, enhance the level of human resource management, reasonable financial plan, build, cohesive corporate culture, for the development of nanning city star hotel in the future strategic planning to provide the reference and also for other offer feasibility reference significance for the development of economy hotel.
