Therefore, the stand or fall of human resource management, determines whether the hotel has competitive advantage. The employees are the core of human resources management. But why do they quit? How to retain staff, especially the core staff? How to fully arouse the enthusiasm and initiative of staff? These are what the hotel managers have been thinking about, and those issues need to be solved at present for star hotel management. In this paper, combined with the practice of star hotel of Xinzheng city and based on investigation statistical data of star hotel of Xinzheng city, the current situation, causes and countermeasures of star hotel staff loss have been deeply discussed.In this paper, to start with the general theory of staff turnover, based on the fact of star hotel of Xinzheng city, and according to the statistical data of questionnaire, the causes of star hotel staff turnover are analyzed. Three aspects including social factor, hotel factor and staff factor, which affect the staff turnover of star hotel of Xinzheng, have been deeply discussed. The effect of star hotel staff turnover on hotel and individual has been illustrated. And based on this, the countermeasures of coping with star hotel staff turnover of Xinzheng city have been put forward. These countermeasures include reforming star hotel salary system, taking incentive measures of diversification, planning employee career development, improving the system of employee turnover management, etc. Finally, the research conclusion and the specific working content are summarized, deficiencies are pointed out and the further research direction is considered.The analyses of current situation and causes of star hotel staff turnover of Xinzheng city, not only further enrich the theory of human resource management, but also provide reference for further deepening the reform of the internal human resources management system of star hotel of Xinzheng city.
