Public hospitals in our country are medical institutions which are organized bygovernment departments and managed as public welfare units. There is no unified standard onthe medical institution organization for the medical administrative departments. Chinesegovernment has lay claim to all medical institutions since the new health care reform carriedout in2009. As a result, NS hospital is facing challenges in survival and development underthe requirements of the new circumstances. The organization structure must adapt to its ownenvironment, technology and development strategies, so the insufficient of organizationstructure of NS hospital causes the signs of organizational reform. Those signs apparentlyshow that NS hospital must reform the organization structure in order to survive and develop.This article analyses the past and the present of the NS hospital organization structurethough organization structural theory and organizational design philosophy, and discovers theimperfection of the existing organization structure. Addition to the analysis, this article tries toexplore a proper organization structure for NS hospital. Also, it tries to establish a goal fororganizational reform and provide strategies in order to push the reform forward. Finally, itevaluates the superiority and shortage of the organizational reformation scheme, and proposessome treatment suggestions.
