With the rapid economic development, transport industry has become key service industry to promote economic development, which has been paid great attention from managers of domestic commercial enterprises and has made great development. The idea of lean management is closely linked with the development of modern society. Introducing the idea of lean management in transport industry is great challenge to the mode of traditional transport. Most important, it is a great impetus to the reform in transport management in recent years, H Company has make great progress in transport management, and its service of transport begins to develop towards the direction of diversity development. With the rapid increasing of vehicles and the number of staff, the scale of H Company is gradually expanding. Based on this, some flaws from the transport management of H Company are actually occurring, leading to a mode of extensive transport management. With the idea of lean management gradually coming in the transport industry, H Company should recognize the importance and necessity in the process of transportation management, so as to change the current mode of extensive transport management.This research combines the actual situation of transportation management in H Company, by the use of three methods of access to information, historical analysis and in-depth interview, four aspects of management status in the management transportation management organization, scheduling, transport safety and transport processes are analyzed. Further, four key issues are diagnosed, namely the fuzzy of organization interface in transportation management, lack of vehicle scheduling optimization model, imperfect in transportation safety management system, and unreasonable convergence between interfaces in transport processes. This research, focusing on these key issues, as the same time, combining with other questions leading to the mode of extensive management, by introducing in the idea of lean management, tries to construct the mode of lean transport management in H Company. The details are: the lean improvement in transport management organization, lean vehicle scheduling management, the lean transport safety and lean process management are elaborated respectively. In order to ensure the constructed model of lean transportation management effectively operating in H Company, a series of management security policies are proposed in three aspects of information technology, staff management and the construction of corporate culture. The aim is to accelerate the model of company’s extensive transportation management to lean transportation management. In the new model of lean transportation management, H Company can reduce unnecessary waste of resources, delivers services of high-quality, timely and high-efficiency to customers, maximizing the benefits and prompting continued long-term development of H Company...
