With the increasingly competitive in tourism market, tourist destination in orderto achieve the survival and sustainable development, there are some urgent problemsneed to solve which is a tourist destination, cultivation and management issue. Dueto the many types of tourist destinations, each with its own characteristics, so far notyet have a clear rating for different geographical scales tourist destination. It alsomakes for some tourist destinations can not clear the advantages and disadvantagesabout their own development, so set up a comprehensive evaluation index system oftourism destination competitiveness is imminent.For the study of this article, it is from home and abroad to tourism destinationcompetitiveness, competitiveness evaluation index system, competitivenessevaluation method research, summarizes the main academic point of view, and fromthe Angle of input-output efficiency of tourist destination, the conception andconnotation of tourism destination competitiveness is defined. On this basis, theestablishment of a set of input-output-based tourism destination competitivenessevaluation index system, and attempt to evaluate from the linear relationship betweenthe two aspects of the reference input and output in regional economics analysis ofXinjiang tourism industry in the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” referred to in the sixfocuses on the development of Tourism competitiveness. In the empirical study, thefitting out of the six regional tourism declinational input and output of a linearfunction, and obtained its relative position, characteristics of the input-outputstructure of these tourist destinations are evaluated. Theoretically elaborated therelated factors influencing regional tourism competitiveness, and through thecomparative study with six key tourist areas, finds out the difference of each districtin Xinjiang tourism competitiveness. The main conclusions of this paper are asfollows:(1) Based on the Destination Competitiveness input-output efficiency on six keyareas of competitiveness evaluation, the Xinjiang regional tourist destination can bedivided into three levels, the first level is the input-output efficiency in1abovetourist destination, only contains the tourist areas of Urumqi and Changji city leisuretourist area; second level is the input-output efficiency between0.5-1touristdestination, including Yili Bozhou leisure eco-tourism area, Hami leisure resorts,Altay ecological sightseeing tourist area, these three tourist areas; third level is theinput-output efficiency of less than0.5, contains the Kashi State Ethnic culturalTourism Zone and Akesu Qiuci cultural Tourism Zone. The conclusion similar to many other research conclusions, in another word, the competitiveness level of thesix tourist areas, from the overall strength, showing a strong competitiveness oldtourist area, the new tourist area is weak, which accord with the recent year’ssituation of Xinjiang tourism development.(2) Through the assessment of input and output index, this paper used input andoutput characterization of comprehensive index of six key regional tourismdestination fitting into a linear relationship, obtained a function curve that reflect theaverage level of Xinjiang tourism destination competitiveness, and six key areas inthe coordinates on the graph scatter distribution, further verify the above conclusions,Clear out various tourism destination competitiveness position relative to otherdestinations.
