Study On The Collaborative Innovation Model Of The Enterprises Within The Cluster Of Equipment Manufacturing Industry In Changsha, Zhuzhou And Xiangtan

Revitalization of equipment manufacturing industry is a strategictask which is proposed by the Central Committee of the CPC and aims atpromoting national strength. Equipment manufacturing industry, with itsapparent advantage in development, is an important pillar in boostingregional economy and building up the “resource-conserving andeco-friendly society” in Changshan, Xiangtan and Zhuzhou. Clusters ofequipment manufacturing industry in Changshan, Xiangtan and Zhuzhouhave already developed into a comprehensively extra-large base ofmachinery industry. As the market competition becomes fiercer and theprocess of economic globalization becomes quicker, the advantage ofindustrial clusters in competition has been shifted to the ability ofinnovation and adaptability. The ability of innovation determines thecompetitiveness of industrial clusters. Therefore, collaborative innovationhas become the requisite condition for the enterprises within industrialclusters. Thus, the selection of an appropriate mode of collaborativeinnovation is an important factor in bettering the innovation of theenterprises within the cluster of equipment manufacturing industry andpromoting overall competitiveness of the whole region in Changsha,Xiangtan and Zhuzhou.Based on theoretical studies, this thesis, by adopting Social NetworkAnalysis Method, analyzes the characteristics of collaborative innovation of the enterprises within clusters, studies the process of collaborativeinnovation, summarizes the typical mode of collaborative innovationdone by the enterprises within industrial clusters of both home and abroad,and accordingly makes a comparison among three typical modes ofcollaborative innovation in China. Focusing on the region of Changsha,Xiangtan and Zhuzhou, this thesis analyzes the current situation of thedevelopment of equipment manufacturing industry cluster in this region,as well as the collaborative innovation of the enterprises within the cluster,summarizes three factors influencing enterprises’ selection of differentmodes of collaborative innovation, i.e., environment of industrial clusters,innovative environment within the enterprises and the enterprises’ abilityof innovation. With theoretical study and field research, collaborativeinnovation model of the enterprises inside industrial clusters can beconstituted by means of Analytic Hierarchy Process and Multi-level GreyEvaluation Method. With the model, the enterprises’ selection ofcollaborative innovation mode within equipment manufacturing industryclusters in Changsha, Xiangtan and Zhuzhou can be analyzed. Thus, itcan be concluded that the optimal decision for the enterprises ofequipment manufacturing industry in Changsha, Xiangtan and Zhuzhou isto adopt a system of Industry-University-Research Institute Collaboration,and the typical mode of collaborative innovation adopted currently by theenterprises in the region of Changsha, Xiangtan and Zhuzhou can also be known.
