With the continual, rapid and healthy development of China’s economy in recentyears, the process of urbanization has been continuously deepened, and domesticarchitectural decoration enterprises are getting into the development of golden period.But at the same time, they are also faced with the increasingly fierce marketcompetition. As the virtual carriers of the architectural decoration project, the projectmanager’s work becomes more and more complex with the increase of the size and thedifficulty of construction projects. In order to adapt to this trend, how to improve theproject manager’s ability and professional standards, as well as how to strengthenmanagement of the project manager’s performance becomes the priority ofarchitectural decoration enterprises.The research is focused on architectural decoration enterprises, and aims toperfect the performance evaluation system of the project managers in architecturaldecoration enterprises. What’s more, the dissertation is to standardize theimplementation and management process of project managers’ performance and toachieve the goal that enhancing management level of enterprises to project managers.Based on the study of domestic and foreign research on performance managementas well as the performance management of the project managers in architecturaldecoration enterprises, this dissertation bears on the theories of the project managers’performance management such as system management, management by objective,theory of encouragement and deals with the theory of the performance management ofproject managers in architectural decoration enterprises like performance appraisalmethod. Along with the field investigation, the existing problems is put forward by theanalysis of the current situations of project manager’s performance management inarchitectural decoration enterprises, and architectural decoration enterprises’ projectscharacteristics and its management difficulties are also analyzed.From the two aspects of projects’ performance and ability, the projects’performance is defined, in which the project managers’ performance evaluationindexes are established. The index weights are fixed by making use of the method ofAHP (analytic hierarchy process), and the combination of the quantitative andqualitative indexes. The performance evolution based on management by objective and360degree performance is constructed and a complete index system of projects’performance is built. The projects’ performance, the implementation process and feedback mechanism are put forward from the five aspects: performancemanagement process, organizational setup, performance scheme, andperformance cycle and performance evaluation.At last, with the positive analysis of H enterprise, the dissertation states thatthe evaluation indexes has maneuverability as well, and can promote theperformance and competence of project managers through feedback.The paper mainly innovation lies in:(1) The integrated use of target management method and360degreeperformance evaluation method.(2) Improving the performance evaluation index system of project managerin architectural decoration construction enterprise. The project manager’sperformance evaluation index is divided into three layers, a total of32evaluationindicators, and using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to distribute indexweight.(3) Standardizing the implementation and management process of projectmanager performance evaluation in the construction decoration constructionenterprise.The research of the dissertation contributes to the project managers’development and management level in the field of architectural decorationconstruction enterprises. The improvement of the human resources development inthe architectural construction enterprises is meaningful and the great-leap-forwarddevelopment of enterprises can be realized.
