With the advent of the era of knowledge economy, knowledge has become thefocus of competition between enterprises and the management of the knowledgeworkers as a carrier of knowledge has also become the highlights of modern humanresources management. The same time, due to the improvement of knowledgedevelopment task complexity and development costs, the knowledge workers worktogether is more necessary in this day. Therefore, the knowledge-based teamcomposed by knowledge workers is increasingly becoming the main way forenterprises to work. New ways of working proposes new requirements and challengesof management theory and leadership style. In recent years, the servant leadership ofthe service-oriented staff as a new style of leadership caused the attention of manyscholars, foreign studies have yielded rich results of servant leadership, whiledomestic research is still in its infancy. Especially the research on the influence ofservant leadership on knowledge team performance is rare.On the basis of the existing literature, this paper first introduced the relevantconcepts and theories of servant leadership, knowledge employees and their jobsatisfaction, knowledge team and its performance and the research status anddeficiencies were described. Then, the mechanism that how servant leadership affectsknowledge team performance was analyzed, in which we considered the mediationrole of the knowledge workers’ job satisfactions, so hypotheses were proposed. Basedon the above proposal, combined relevant theory and research with the actual research,the questionnaires of service leadership, knowledge workers’ job satisfactions andknowledge team performance were designed. And the paper analyzed the reliabilityand validity of the variables and questionnaire by using SPSS and AMOS softwares.Through questionnaires, this study empirically tested the influence of servantleadership on knowledge team performance. The results showed that servantleadership significantly had a positive affect knowledge team performance andknowledge employee job satisfaction plays a mediation role among the two variances.This study empirically examines the influence of servant leadership onknowledge team performance and analyzes its function mechanism, further deepeningthe understanding of the relationship among servant leadership, knowledge workersjob satisfaction and knowledge-based team performance. Our findings enrich the research on servant leadership and knowledge team and provide theoretical basis andpractice guidance for the modern enterprise management of the knowledge workersand team.
