In the study,we aim to explain how higher levels of knowledge sharing among project workers are attained by companies. The dissertation creates a research model that ties social capital aspects to tacit knowledge sharing.Social capital consisting of social ties, trust, shared vision, reciprocity and shared language are identified as the specific social factors that are key when it comes to achieving satisfactory levels of tacit knowledge sharing.Additionally,we explore how knowledge sharing process is facilitated through Saudi Arabia network system rooted in national culture. The study suggests ways for organizations to enhance their tacit knowledge sharing. In that way,the dissertation suggests what companies should focus on to secure a higher team or firm performance through improved knowledge sharing. The current empirical study focuses on explaining the link between factors and specific indicators of knowledge sharing taking an organizational and team factor view.A research model, consisting of social ties, vision, trust, and language as independent variables and tacit knowledge sharing as a dependent is constructed to solve the current problems of Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Knowledge sharing,in Arabic societies. In our study a quantitative analysis methodology is used.In other words,we collect measurable data and analyze them it using statistical analysis. We use the quantitative approach in our study in order to quantify data and hypothesize and speculate results from a sample to the population of interest, measure the incidence and frequency of various views and opinions in a determined sample. The study is explanatory in nature, and a survey strategy is utilized. This is done in a way so that all the participants in the survey have been asked to fill out a questionnaire. The survey instrument is both reliable and valid, and the questions are an adaptation from past studies and modified accordingly.Through inference statistics,by using correlation and multiple regression analysis,we conclude from that data about relationships between variables. The goal is to suggest causal relationships between the variables of the model.Additionally, descriptive statistics, normality tests, reliability and validity assessment, and other statistical procedures are conducted. The study shows that social capital is an important factor in tacit knowledge sharing. The study indicates that instrumental ties, identification, shared vision and trust have significant positive impact on Tacit knowledge sharing among project team members. Moreover, transformational leadership as a Moderating factor is accepted for those factors which have positive significant impact on tacit knowledge sharing. However, other important elements such as reciprocity, expressive ties, shared language do not have any relationship with tacit knowledge sharing. The findings of the current study are in line with past studies which also illustrate the influence of social capital factors on tacit knowledge. The current study is one of the unique studies that took into consideration the influence of social capital variables on tacit knowledge sharing. The dissertation contributes to the theory of knowledge management and organizational behavior. The results of the empirical study provide various benefits,as the value of each factor for knowledge sharing is identified, the mechanism of attaining higher knowledge sharing is developed, and detailed description of Saudi Arabian firms' performance and operations is provided.
