With the rapid development of economy in China, the investment rate of power grid enterprises is accelerating and the scale of assets is also expanding. The management of assets, which is extensive and partial, seriously restricts the improvement of economic benefit and asset quality, therefore, the rapid, healthy and sustainable development of power grid enterprises is also restricted.This thesis proposes a life cycle supervisor mode in the management of assets for power grid enterprises. This mode is taking all things into consideration in power grid planning, approval, design and equipment bidding during the construction and operation stage, targeting the least life cycle cost (LCC) management of fixed assets, and achieving the effective connection of each stage. Also, it improves the style of production and the mode of investment management of power grid enterprises, reduces the cost of construction and management in life cycle, and finally optimizes the benefits of fixed-assets investment.In order to integrate the fixed-assets life cycle theory into assets management effectively, this thesis combines actual asset management in power grid enterprise, takes substation, transmission and distribution line, information system and electrical equipment as the object of illustration, uses the concept of life cycle management, and optimizes the management mode of fixed-asset in power grid enterprises. Consequently, the operation and maintenance cost of fixed-asset investment is reduced, the quality of fixed-assets is improved and the benefits of fixed-assets investment are also optimized. Meanwhile, this thesis takes transformation engineering as examples, and analyzes the key points in substation design and operation by combining assets life cycle supervisor mode.The innovation reflects the introduction of theory of assets life cycle management into asset management mode of power grid enterprises, and simultaneously interpreting the theory comprehensively by focusing on substation, transmission and distribution line, information system and electrical equipment. The innovation also reflects the illustration of key points in design and operation of transformation engineering by using the theory of assets life cycle supervisor mode.
