With the strengthening of risk consciousness, peoples increased demand forpersonal risks. Life insurances that its unique risk diversification, economicscompensation as well as benefit function, is more and more concerned.Traditional commercial insurances for the most insurance companies in thehigh-income classes, when the majority of the rural low-income people is excludedfrom the insurances and social securities. Now, rural low-income need insurancesafeguard more and more, the low income, the possibility of risk occurs, thecapabilities against risks weak. When the rural micro-life insurance because of itsmoderate, low premium, policies popular, underwriting claims and simples,low-income group in rural areas quickly fill the insurance need of the vacancies, inorder to avoid the economics life of rural residents the personal risks to play an activerole now.Firstly, this paper analyzes the situation and problems of rural micro-lifeinsurance business in Mudanjiang City. Since local government attention, increasefarmers’ income, farmers and other reasons the insurance concept gradually increasedin recent years, Mudanjiang City, rural micro-life insurance as showing a yearlygrowth rate is accelerating business coverage is increasingly wide businessdevelopment potential and other characteristics. Their problems mainly in thetraditional concept of farmers’ constraints of commercial insurance businessdevelopment, rural residents affordability and demand mismatch, insurance productssuited to rural residents need, insurance companies, marketing strategies usedinappropriately, insurance companies and other aspects poor reputation.Secondly, by learning from foreign countries and drawing on their experience,the paper makes some suggestions to promote the development of rural life insurancebusiness in Mudanjiang City. There are two kinds of recommendations whichperfecting the relevant policies and market development strategy selection are given to promote the development of rural micro-life insurance business in MudanjiangCity.
