Realistic Analysis Of China’s Food Security In The Conditions Of Globalization

In the tide of economic globalization, China joined the World Trade Organization. China’s economic is showing a broader space for development and unprecedented openness. With the gradual deepening of economic globalization, economic security issues in these participating countries have become increasingly revealed. Especially the developing countries is not dominant in the trade rules when compete with developed countries. Therefore, the issue of economic security is particularly critical. With the deepening of trade liberalization, the role of food as a special commodity began to diversify. On the one hand,it is of strategic commodities to maintain the survival of a country’s citizens,so its supply and demand affect a country’s social stability profoundly as well as the decision of price. On the other hand, with the grain trading entering into the field of financial transactions and energy trading step by step, the grain become capital investment goods which role the dollar and oil also play. Its supply and demand affect a country’s economic interests profoundly as well as the decision of price. Therefore, the food and the food industry security issues is bound to be the key elements of agricultural security and even economic security which is deservede our deep concern.Following the soybean war between China and the United States, China’s grain security has become the problem we can not be ignored and need to deal with urgently. In order to recognize and solve the existing problems of the food security, I select the realistic analysis of food safety hazards under the conditions of economic globalization as the research topic. I analyze the food safety hazards from the perspective of natural conditions,trade liberalization,liberalization of capital progressively and propose multi-level food security points of view that Include protecting the food supply in the field of natural force, ensuring the competitiveness of food products in the area of trade liberalization and ensuring food industry control in the field of capital liberalization.The paper consists of four parts:The first part is about a brief description of economic globalization and food security issues,and the connotation of "food security" adapting to the definition of the theme of this article. I also summarize the views of domestic and foreign scholars.The framework and research methods in the paper are introduced too;The second part, deeper analysis of China’s grain security risks. The one hand, China’s grain production constraints are analyzed from the perspective of an objective natural conditions in China.On the other hand, from the perspective of the liberalization of trade and capital liberalization to analyze the hidden dangers facing our food security which pave the way for the fourth part;The third part, United States, Japan and other developed countries play a leading role in the field of trade and capital flows in the international commodity are not only the strong competitors but also our role model.It is necessary to learn from the developed countries.And then provide ideas for China’s food security;The fourth part, based on China’s food security hazard analysis of objective natural conditions, trade liberalization, capital liberalization and food security policies reflection of developed countries I propose policy measures in multi-layer angles in order to help building a strong production capacity, industrial competitiveness, market stable food security system which can resist food security risk.And bring the enlightenment to improve our rights in the field of international food.
