| Since the reform and opening up, with the development of export-oriented economy, China’s SMEs, especially small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises (SMEs) grow out of nothing, from less to more, has made considerable progress, gained rising position in the national economy, and have made important contributions to China’s economic noteworthy achievements around the world. However, since2008, after the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis and the European debt crisis breakout, with the weakening of global economy and deteriorating situation of foreign trade, China’s export-oriented growth model has reached a bottleneck, economic development encounter great difficulties, meanwhile, many problems of small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises covered up by the rapid development before all accumulated and exposed, coupled with the new challenges posed by the financial crisis, the survival and development of SMEs suffered a great threat, and the vitality of SMEs faces serious problems, especially in recent years, The news of China SMEs in Southern regions frequently bankruptcy, some business owners flight away caused great repercussions and concerns in the society.The article on the basis of the SWOT analysis, pointed out that the emergence of these problems based on three points, included SMEs own limitations, domestic environment go against the need of SMEs’ survival and development, and the impact of the deteriorating foreign trade international environment, three of which erupt simultaneously, common led to the problems of vitality of small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises. The article specific China SMEs’ performance and the underlying causes of each problem, discusses the survival and development experiences of some developed country (Italy, Japan, Germany) that we can learn from. In the final, giving relevant measures recommendations to enhance China’s SMEs’ vitality, from the government and companies’angles respectively. |
