Research On Residents' Perception Of The Ancient City Of Yangzhou Tourism Development Effects

Yangzhou is one of the first batch of historical cultural cities issued by the state council, the tourism of ancient city has the progressive development which not only brings the travel experience to the tourist but also brings various impacts to the local residents. The ancient city of Yangzhou is not only the living space of the residents, but also the main tourism attraction for experiencing the historical culture of ancient city. The attitude of residents living in the ancient city on the tourism development can determine sustainable development of the tourism, it is studied by the social benefit of tourism. This article studies the ancient city residents in the historical cultural city of Yangzhou from the perceptions and attitudes of residents, uses methods of field survey and questionnaire survey to obtain the research data. Then considering economic income, social culture and environmental resource, this article analyzes the change and the attitude on the change brought by the tourism development to discover the problem of the social benefit of the ancient city tourism. This article tentatively presents the harmonious development proposals for promoting the economic development, social culture and environmental resources of the ancient city Yangzhou. The main studies of this article include:1. For analyzing the economic income and effect of the ancient city tourism of Yangzhou from the residents, this study considers seven aspects which are the local economic development, personal income, price, house price, the proportion of tourism revenue in the household income, unfair distribution of benefits of tourism economy, infrastructure, financial support. For analyzing the social culture and effect of the ancient city tourism of Yangzhou from the residents, this study considers seven aspects which are the residents pride, cultural quality, social image, cultural life, social circle, ethical standards, promotion of the traditional culture. For analyzing the environmental resources and effect of the ancient city tourism of Yangzhou from the residents, this study considers seven aspects which are the traffic, road congestion, parking, road, landscaping, garbage sewage, the ancient city of environmental and scenic damage, living environment, and leisure space.2. For analyzing the impact factors of resident’s perception, this study discusses the impact of these factors on the perception and effort of tourism development from five aspects which are the gender, age, education level, annual household income, length of residence. In contrast to the growth of price and house price of economic effect, ethical standard of social cultural effect, road congestion and parking of environmental resource effect, the research shows that the female have negative attitude on these three terms, the residents which have twenty to forty ages, elementary education, or ten thousand yuan household income have negative attitudes on the growth of price and ethical standard, the residents which have the residences less than ten years or higher education have negative attitudes on the road congestion.3. By analyzing the economic development, social culture and environmental resource, this study conclude the following problems:the benefit allocation imbalance, the growth of prices, the lack of public recreational facilities, the changelessness of cultural qualities and ethical standards, the lack of promotion of traditional culture, the road congestion, the growth of waste water, the destruction of environment, the lack of leisure space. This study suggests improving the benefit allocation compensation mechanism, stabilizing the prices, improving public recreational facilities, strengthening the tourism education, improving cultural quality, implementing the project of urban civilization, improving ethical standard, advocating residents actively participate in social and cultural promotion, focusing on the characteristics of cultural heritage, improving the environmental quality of the ancient city, strengthening the planning and control of the ancient city, easing the pressure of road, preserving of the texture of the ancient city, increasing leisure space.
