Thirty years of reform and opening up, China’s industrial economy make a spurtof progress for the development, but the increase of greenhouse gases caused thereby, especially the rise of industrial carbon emissions has become more and more severe. How to implement effective emission intensity reduction strategies on industrialcarbon emissions has become a major topic of society. The paper mainly talks aboutthe trend of CO2emission intensity in each industry in China. As well clarifies thetheory that putting low-carbon emission intensity reduction policy in use accordinglyto some industries and realizing the reduction target are of great importance in ourdaily life. This paper aims to influence on various factors in-depth research how toinfluence the carbon intensity of Chinese industry. Firstly, the paper has summarizedsome documents and essays talking about the factors influencing the carbon emissionintensity, and also elaborated and analyzed the impact mechanism of the carbonemission intensity based on the existing research of some scholars and researchers. We can conclude that, the rising proportion of coal consumption in the energyconsuming structure, the increase of income level of the whole industry both havenegative impacts on the carbon emission level. The increase of Chinese enterpriseproduction ratio in the system of ownership, development of industrial technology, apositive tax scheme to the enterprises implemented by the government, the risingindustrial capital saving will also put down the increase of the carbon emissionintensity.Secondly, use36of the Chinese industries as examples, the carbon emissionintensity from1995to2010has been calculated, along with a description of thecarbon emission intensity and changing tendency in domestic industry. Theconclusion can be drawn that, except some individual capital-intensive industrieswhose carbon emission intensity first rise then fall, with the development of economiclevel, the general carbon emission intensity is decreasing year by year as a whole. What’s more, all the carbon emission intensity of the labor-intensive industries arelower than the average amount. The carbon intensity of most industry capital-intensive is higher than the overall average value.Last but not least, referring to thedischarge of panel data, from the individual capital-intensive industries,technology-intensive industries and labor-intensive industries aspect as well as the whole samples aspect, we separately built a static and dynamic panel data model forthem, and we also have a test on the contribution from the factors influencing theindustrial carbon emission intensity. Results from real evidence have shown that, energy consuming structure, system of ownership structure, technology developmentand capital saving have a apparent negative impact on the carbon emission intensity.Meanwhile, general industrial income level and tax scheme influence the carbonemission intensity in a positive way. Energy consuming structure, system ofownership structure, general industrial income level, technology development, taxscheme, capital saving all have great influence on the CO2emission intensity. Besides, this paper has provided some vital policy suggestions based on the results of realevidence analysis.
