Research and Development is the main method and motive power of the advance of science and technology. But, the complexity of products and technologies is higher and higher. The huge R&D costs, the R&D risks and the R&D knowledge make the majority of the companies step back. Though the number of R&D alliances is greatly rising, the failure rate is always high. The unfair benefit distribution is an important factor of the R&D alliance failing. Therefore, researching on the governance of benefit distribution of high-tech enterprises, and solving the problem of benefit distribution scientifically are the important task that the current scholars and enterprises need to study urgently. The paper is based on the module theory, cooperative R&D theory, game theory, the division of knowledge theory. It focuses on the benefit distribution of the modular R&D network of high technology enterprises. The main content is as follows:Firstly, on the basis of reading a large amount of domestic and foreign literatures and carrying out the enterprises surveys, the paper elaborates the effects and meanings of building modular R&D network of the high technology enterprises; System carding and literature reviewing about the relative contents are done through. The paper comes up with the definition, characteristics, advantages and the essence of division of knowledge of the modular R&D network; Secondly, the operation mode of modular R&D network is researched deeply, and compared with the operation mode of the traditional R&D network. The paper specifically researches the internal mechanisms of the operation mode and the distribution of the benefit. Thirdly, the benefit distribution models of the core R&D modular network and non-core R&D modular network are separetely built. The paper studies the optimal efforts level, optimal partition coefficient and the whole benefit when the modular R&D network reaches the Nash Equilibrium and the Pareto Optimality. The reaearch finds that the benefit distribution are relevant with the contribution coeffeicient, and not relevent with effort cost. And the paper adds the three element "cost, risk and knowledge" in the benefit distribution mode based on the contribution and revises the final benefit distribution amount. Finally, taking the example of new energy vehicles in our country, the case research is done. Through relative calculation, the final benefit distribution of each core R&D module(battery module, motor module, electronic-controlled module) and non-core R&D module of new energy vehicles is abtained. The paper also provides some relevant management suggestions. The research results suggest that the module will gain more benefit when its contribution, cost, risk and knowledge is higher than others. Otherwise its benefit will gain less. Only this, the modular R&D network can be built more easily, its operaiton will be running more steadily, and will obtain the sustainable development. The paper supplies theoretical foundation for the model buildings of scientifical benefit distribution of the high-tech enterprises. And it also supplies some pratical reference value for other industries.
