The Research On Agricultural Insurance Needs Of Hunan Farmers

Hunan is located in the south of the Yangtze River, belongs to the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, because the area the south of Dongting Lake is named "Hunan"; Hunan province is rich in natural resources, known as "Huguang cooked, the world is full of reputation, is the famous "land of fish and rice". But, the agriculture is a feeble industry, the agricultural production of Hunan is facing many natural disasters and other risks. As a kind of risk management mechanism to transfer agricultural risk and share the economic lost, agricultural insurance has been taken attention by the management of Hunan. Before agricultural insurance carried on in Hunan province,which fators are affecting the farmers’demand of agricultural insurance is the questions that must be solved at present. The domestic research about agricultural insurance is majority limits to its pattern, but about farmers’demand of agricultural insurance is scarce. So, what influence farmers purchase wish of agricultural insurance is the focus of the study circle.The research contents of this paper include the following six parts:the first part briefly introduces the research background, research significance and research; the second part introduces the theoretical basis of this study on the basis of the third part; based on the current situation of the development of agricultural insurance in Hunan Province on the simple introduction, analyzes the problems existing in development; the fourth part uses the descriptive statistics analysis on the factors influencing farmers in Hunan Province agricultural insurance demand are analyzed; the fifth part using the Logit regression model in the empirical analysis of the factors influencing farmers’demand of agricultural insurance in Hunan Province, to explore the affecting factors and size; the sixth part is the conclusion on the basis of summarizing above research,, and puts forward some counter-measures and suggestions.
