Lean Management&Optimization Of Aviation Material Guarantee In CA Maintenance Base

In the past decade, the Civil Aviation Fleet of China had grown at an average rate of10.95%annually. As a result, the maintenance industry of the Civil Aviation developed rapidly. In2012, the total market of maintenance of the Civil Aviation reached to2.32billion dollars, occupying5%of the world’s MRO market, and became the fastest-growing aviation maintenance market in the world. The maintenance industry of the Civil Aviation in China, however, is facing a grim situation because it costs a lot. How to ensure the safety and also get the maximum of economic benefit is an important problem in the aircraft maintenance company. Among the different factors, the companies of maintenance support have to control the total costs of aviation material if they want to reduce the maintenance costs. This article focuses on not only the characteristics of aviation material purchasing, which is different from other general material purchasing, but also the thinking of Lean Management. CA base makes an optimization control of the aviation material by the thinking of lean management, critically controls the part which is most prone to make redundant equipments, and finds the causes of material waste by combining with lots of production data analysis and finally solves the problems, according to the thinking of the lean management analysis. CA base has also carried out the work of lean management, aiming at a series of problems, such as the reliability of turnover pieces. This article provides a direction for Chinese airline companies through a great quantity of examples to indicate how to control the aviation material cost through Lean Management.
