With the development of living standard, people put forward more requirementsto the medical service. Medical equipment industry has been rapidly developed inrecent years as one of the most important mainstay of Chinese medical and healthservices. However, our country’s medical equipment industry is basically still in theimitation, improvement and combination stage, which has not reached or beyond theinternational level of similar products. For our medical equipment market maturitylevel is relatively falling behind, in addition to part of the medical equipmententerprises in China have cut-throat competition at a low price, which have beenseriously affected the development of medical equipment industry. Some enterprisesby means of cheating on labor and materials, low-grade assemble parts etc, in order toreduce costs. As a result, the quality of the equipment and after-sale service cannot beguaranteed, and the international reputation of China’s medical equipment has beengreatly influenced. Besides, overseas large-scale medical equipment businesses haveentered into China which made the domestic medical equipment market70%occupiedby foreign products. In this case, questions of what the companies should go to do,and how to control the direction of development, the future development strateg y areour local medical equipment enterprises should think about.This thesis takes Hunan Wandong Medical Equipment Co., Ltd, as the researchobject, introduced from four aspects of the company’s development situation,organization structure, product structure, resource, with a macroscopic environmentanalysis from four aspects of politics and law, economy, social culture, technology.Analyzed the competition environment from five aspects: suppliers, buyers, newentrants, substitute products, industry competition by using five forces model. On thisbasis, it has improved the basic principles and objectives of Hunan Wandongcompany’s development strategy, and put forward the development strategy of HunanWandong company by using SWOT analysis. It has eventually come up with theimplementation of Hunan Wandong company’s development strategy, including thetraining of people-oriented, attention to the life of the enterprise, strengthen humanresources management, established perfect the support system, strengthen themarketing ability.This thesis was written to help Hunan Wandong Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. the related decision makers has a certain significance in determining the company’sdevelopment strategy, to help Chinese Medical equipment enterprises moving in aright direction and achieving sustainable development. By doing this, can promote thedevelopment of the whole Chinese Medical equipment industry.
