The employment problem has been always our focus, employment is relating with our country economy development and social stability, promoting the good development of employment is very important. What’s more, the flowing and transformation of Labor have important effects on employment, the free movement and transformation of Labor relate closely with the degree of the Labor market openness. At present, the labor market is in division, especially the market segmentation of between urban and rural areas caused by the factors of the household registration system and results other forms of market segmentation which are seriously hampering the free movement of Labor, and these market segmentation is not conducive to full employment.This paper studies the market segmentation effecting on employment mainly through the method of combining theoretical research and empirical research. Firstly, this paper expounds the labor market segmentation in our country, elaborates the status quo on the urban-rural division, industry division, regional division, combines with the current employment situation, analysis of labor market segmentation is how to influence employment, different forms of segmentation is how to affect the employment. By collecting data, mainly using the data from the2012China statistical yearbook, selecting the market segmentation between rural and urban areas, industry segmentation, region segmentation and employment for variables in the model of empirical research about labor market segmentation effecting on employment, the part of empirical research mainly adopts the OLS multiple linear regression method and the stability test, and makes the concrete analysis to conclusion, more quantitative understanding of the influence of labor market segmentation on employment. Secondly, this paper analyzes effect of labor market segmentation, and elaborates on the labor market segmentation on consumer demand and the effect of urbanization level. Finally, in view of our previous research, this paper puts forward the breaking labor market segmentation, perfecting the employment security system, the specific policies and Suggestions for promoting employment.Promoting the full employment, to help the economy is better developing, the government must break the existing labor market segmentation, establish a unified and perfect the Labor market, to make the flowing of labor force is free, make the labor resources the rational flow and configuration in different department, different industries and different areas between rural and urban, we must pay attention to the reform of labor market segmentation in our economic transformation period.
