Leisure agriculture is an emerging industry which combines with tourism and traditional agricultural industry, the main characteristic of leisure agriculture is to meet the expectation of people in the contemporary society who are far away from of the natural environment and humane environment in the industrial society. Leisure agriculture is an essential form of the modern agriculture and the development of leisure agriculture is an important part of the construction of new socialist countryside. With the improvement of living standard, more and more urban residents begin to pursue a quiet, comfortable and healthy leisure style in the countryside after stressed working which in order to achieve the purpose of close and return the nature. Meanwhile, In order to cope with the growing sharp contradiction between population and land and the difficulty of surplus labor forces transference, many farmers are taking every possible to explore new channels of increasing income.The research is begin with the significance of leisure agriculture and basic theory, followed by the main characteristics and achievements of the leisure agriculture both at home and abroad, and then have an in-depth and systematic analysis of the development condition and situation in the city of Changsha, so as to tease out the countermeasures and suggestions of the development of leisure agriculture in the city of ChangshaThis research is divided into5parts.
