Economic Globalization And College Students’ Patriotism Education

Economic globalization rapidly sweep across the globe as an irreversibletorrent with the industrial revolution and the establishment of the capitalistsystem. Economic globalization is a product of the development forward ofhuman society, however, economic globalization has injected new vitality tothe rapid development of the world’s economy as a catalyst. Economicglobalization has promoted integration process of the global market，and ithas had advantages to optimal allocation and rational utilization of resourcesin worldwide. Meanwhile, economic globalization makes countries in the worldgive full play to their respective advantages when they participate in globalcompetition, uses other countries’ rich resources and advanced technology tomake the lake, promotes adequate flow of resources in the worldwide anddeepens of the international division of labor. Under the impetus of economicglobalization, the world’s political and cultural begin to spread and developtoward the direction of integration, which promotes communication andintegration between countries and regions, and is conducive to safeguard thecommon interests between countries and world peace. As the development ofthe socialist market economy and the deepening of reform and opening up ofour country, China has also inevitably integrate into the processes of worldeconomic globalization. Economic globalization provides a rare opportunityfor rapid development of economy, the progress of science and technologyand increases of comprehensive strength,and gives the opportunity of lookingat the world and developing thinking and vision to the people of our country.However, the economic globalization is a double-edged sword. Along witheconomic globalization and the deepening of reform and opening up, theideas and cultural and ideological trends from different countries impact onpeople’s minds as the internet has rapidly developed. Patriotic education hasalways been an integral part of our educational system. College students arethe pillars of the motherland, and play an important role in the future development of our country. Thus, in the context of economic globalization,studying how to strengthen patriotic education of college students hasimportant significance.This paper researches economic globalization and collegestudents’patriotism education from the following aspects. The first part is anintroduction of basic theory. It includes the motivation and significance ofresearch, related literature review, the research idea and research method andresearch framework of this paper. The second part analyzes economicglobalization and opportunities and challenges which economic globalizationbrings to patriotic education. The third part studies patriotic education’sproblems of college students from analyzing content and features ofpatriotism education of university student. In the fourth part of the article, thispaper proposes some countermeasures of strengthening college studentspatriotism education in the context of economic globalization. In the last part,this paper selects two cases, and analyzes them from using the researchresults above.
